GSA Designer/AutoCAD Specialist

DLA Account- On-Site Fort Belvoir

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Our GSA Designer/AutoCAD Specialist will work on-site at the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) located in Ft. Belvoir, VA and provide support for the design, space planning, and coordination/tracking of employee moves/adds/changes within various complexes. 

The responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

  • Manage/accommodate employee space planning issues utilizing client standards.
  • Complete field verifications.
  • Meet with end users to review their spaces and make accommodations as needed.
  • Project manage furniture reconfigurations.
  • Provide project design/layouts for approval of the client that adhere to all applicable codes and client standards.
  • Prepare detailed furniture take-off lists for re-use of customer inventory.  Prepare furniture quotes for new items as needed. 
  • Meet with clients to obtain minor alteration requirements and prepare drawings of current and reconfigured workstations. Provide drawings indicating work required by other trades as needed.
  • Complete annual update of architectural and furniture drawings.
  • Complete signage assessment and keep updated standards.
  • Work closely with dancker furniture PM and Gov’t. facilities team for the successful completion of all work orders.
  • Attend weekly meetings with the Gov’t. facilities team and dancker teams. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 5+ years related work experience
  • Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD required
  • Systems furniture knowledge
  • Good organizational and communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills for all levels
  • Good interpersonal & presentation skills for interacting with team members, clients and management
  • Must be detail oriented with excellent follow up skills
